2025 NSRA Autocross Vehicle Requirements

  No vehicles will be allowed on track without proper safety inspection covering the following items, an NSRA Autocross windshield sticker will be attached to windshield

We encourage you to attend a driver safety meeting held each day at 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

1. Vehicle must be street legal with current registration, licensing, and insurance.
2. Any specialty built “race carts’ will be registered in class of vehicle title.
3. Tire tread depth cannot be less that 2/32″ on any tire.
4. Tire wear rating cannot be less that 200 UTQG (Uniform Tire Quality Grade).
5. No slicks or racing tires allowed, all must have DOT rating.
6. Four (4) wheel braking system required, can be any OEM design front & rearMust be hydraulic in design, no plastic brake lines allowed.
7. Seat belt and/or harness required. Must be properly secured to floor and harness bar. Fasteners must be grade 5 or higher.
8. Must have exhaust system that exits vehicle behind driver/passenger area.  No open headers, zoomie style exhaust allowed.
9. No Four (4) wheel drive off road style vehicles allowed. No lifted trucks or SUVs above OEM ride height allowed on track.
10. Battery must be properly secured, no bungee straps or zip ties.
11. Fuel tanks must be properly secured and sealed from fuel spillage.
12. Seats must be of OEM design, and securely bolted to floor surface.
13. No loose items allowed in passenger area or trunk or bed area, must be removed before any laps on track.
14. All lug nuts must be present on wheels, no broken studs allowed.
15. Vehicle “scrub angle” will be checked, any suspension component below this line will deem vehicle unsafe for track.
16. Engine fuel system must have proper return (spring on carburetors).
17. No nitrous systems are allowed to be active on track, tanks must be disconnected.
18. No electric vehicles allowed. Tracks will not have provisions for chargers.
19. Any vehicle deemed “unsafe” due to vehicle construction will not be allowed on track This decision is determined by both track event operator and NSRA Autocross Director.

 

Event management reserves the right to restrict entrants to acceptable behavior during any and all activities of the event. Open headers and unnecessary tire-spin, or any other reason an entrant and their vehicle, their appearance or conduct are deemed objectionable by event management, entrant and their vehicle will be subject to eviction from the premises.  Any poor behavior off the event facility will be reason for denying admittance of vehicle and entrant to the event.  This reservation includes persons, things, conduct, printed matter, or any act or item of poor character which the event management considers to be objectionable to the event’s well-being.  In the case of eviction or restriction, the National Street Rod Association, Inc. is not liable for refunding the entry fees except at its own discretion.
